Anni Zola -- My Story
LOS ANGELES, CA – April 20, 2010 -- A multi-media entertainment platform, Anni Zola – My Story is an enhanced CD incorporating four songs interwoven with three short stories (in audiobook format), bonus videos and jpeg images. Generation Z, LLC has just released the single Share My Dream exclusively on iTunes (http://tr.im/K1ss). Anni Zola – My Story will be released nationally on June 29 at amazon.com and major retailers nationwide for $15.00. The ECD and previews of its songs and audiobooks content are available now at annizola.com.

Targeted to 9-to 15-year-old girls and boys, the ECD features Anni Zola, a 14-year-old virtual idol/adventurer, who sings, dances, talks about her dreams and encourages her peers to live a meaningful life. Consumers will like Anni Zola for its anime-influenced art form, pop music with clean lyrics and its various social media platforms that enable user interaction and participation. A Creature Creation Challenge was created by the Anni Zola brand in which participants were asked to submit entries for an art and music challenge. The works of art were incorporated in Anni Zola’s ECD and website, Anni Zola: Awesome Kids For An Awesome World. An online community is being developed at annizola.com/community.

Anni Zola, which means “beautiful earth,” is a teenager who blogs and tweets from the fictional planet Orfea, a green and peaceful planet located in the corner of the vast Yoomee galaxy. With her own outlook on life, dreams and inspirations to “be anything you want to be,” Anni Zola cares about the environment, keeping the planet safe, and other social issues. Kids will relate to Anni Zola as they’ve been educated at home and school about saving our planet, volunteering for causes, and being more responsible and understanding of others. Anni Zola’s dream is to build an ideal world, thus the ECD is appropriately called Anni Zola - My Story.

Anni Zola - My Story was a labor of love for co-creators Zuriani Zonneveld and Bonni Rambatan. The concept for the creation of the character began in February 2009. The video/animation production for the single and music video Share My Dream began April 2009 and was completed eight months later. The ECD became an international production with tracks completed in Oslo, Norway and Los Angeles, United States. The project enlisted an impressive list of contributors. Rapper and singer Maxso contributed rap lyrics and lent his voice to the track I Trust Myself. The ECD was mastered by Jan Fairchild, who is a two-time Grammy award-winner and is considered one of the premier recording/mixing engineers in Los Angeles. Fairchild has worked with Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, John Legend and Mos Def, among others.

Carol Hatchett, choreographer for the music video Share My Dream, is world-renowned for her amazing showmanship. Hatchett choreographed music videos starring Snoop Dogg and Will Smith, and tours headlined by Tina Turner, Beach Boys, Bette Midler and David Lee Roth. Anni Zola co-creator, Zuriani Zonneveld, is an award-winning singer/songwriter, who co-wrote, co-produced and sang lead vocal on all the tracks. She was a contributor to a Grammy winning project, Keb’Mo’s 2005 Contemporary Blues album “Keep It Simple.” Her daughter, Jasmine, a 12-year-old, lent her voice to the audio narration and was the inspiration to the track Come On Out And Play.

Anni Zola 1st Official Press Release

Creature Creation Challenge

Creature Creation Challenge -- Kid created content for all!

Los Angeles, January 31, 2010 – Creature Creation Challenge is an art challenge that rewards the best entries with a $400 award and the inclusion of selected works of art in Anni Zola’s CD + DVD set, to be released on her birthday: Earth Day, April 22, 2010 (see http://annizola.com/community/challenge).

Anni Zola is an open-content virtual idol project where art and music collaborations by community members shape the world. All contributions will be licensed under Creative Commons. Content created is offered to the public and a percentage of profits donated to causes voted on by the community.

Anni Zola is a 14-year-old teenage pop idol/adventurer who blogs and tweets from planet Orfea in the Yoomee galaxy, complete with her own outlook on life, dreams and aspirations, as well as adventures in exploring her galaxy. The story is told through various social media platforms and enables user interaction.

Another unique thing about Anni Zola’s world is that her galaxy is completely empty. “The audience will decide the shape, look, and feel of the places Anni will visit, as well as its inhabitants. It will be one big mass-collaborative fantasy universe created by and for our community of users,” says Bonni Rambatan, the project’s Creative Director.

The Creature Creation Challenge is one instance of building a mass-collaboration platform. The Challenge aims to get youth to create animals that fit the environment their creation will inhabit. This will require not only creative thinking, but also logical deductions.

The concept of this virtual idol was founded by Zuriani Zonneveld, a songwriter/producer based in Los Angeles. “I have always believed in the power of the arts and how children can be taught to think differently through this medium. Having a pre-teenage daughter has made me acutely aware of how this age group is missing out on a safe, creative outlet that pushes the boundaries of learning”.

Dates to mark on the calendar:
